Sam works hard to embrace modern technology and published research combined with traditional coaching methods to produce the best results from horse and rider partnerships.  Delivering not only effective coaching at the time but clear ability to lay the foundations for continuous development in her absence.  She is still a competitive rider having just ridden at the dressage national championships as well as being selected to ride on the European three-star eventing team this year.

Sam pioneered and has presented at many lecture demonstrations to a wide range of coaches called "Coaching in the 21st Century" which has been delivered to a large audiences in the UK and Internationally for several years now.  She sees the huge value of sharing good practices and has developed many strategies and techniques to deliver coach education, this has been massively enhanced by doing a MREs in Professional Sports Coaching which has focused on skills, principles and theories of coaching and coach delivery irrespective of the specific sport in question.  This really focuses the coach to look at the delivery, psychology of coaching on top of their practical skills and subject specific knowledge.

Sam has regularly worked with both Christoph Hess and Christopher Bartle both top international judges and elite level coaches in demonstrating modern coaching techniques and practice as well as shadow coached with various top coaches in the world class team GB training camps for over five years.  This has included Olympic coaches such as Yogi Breisner (Olympic Team GB) and Nick Turner (Olympic Team Ireland), Tracey Robinson, Ian Woodhead, Stephen Clarke to name a few.  She has been involved in coach development for the IGEQ in Brussels, Finland and Romania and been asked to deliver at over 10 conventions in 2019 so far.
